SECURE CURTAIN WALLING SCREENS AT YOUNG OFFENDERS

GAME Security Engineering successfully installed several large secure curtain walling screens at a young offender’s prison in the south of the country on behalf of Kier Construction. Manufactured at GAME and installed on site, the RP MULTITOP® was the system of choice which provides excellent security when combined with GAME’s bespoke anti-climb low profile support structure.  In addition it offers high stability and corrosion resistance within its environment; whilst maintaining a narrow facewidth allowing buildings to be flooded with natural light.

There are a wide range of possibilities this system can offer including direct mounting to any SHS Security Grille.  Vast cost savings can be achieved by directly mounting compared to existing methods of fixing, banishing the previous requirement for spacers, minimising labour and material costs. For all practical purposes, you can combine any section with this facade attachment system and it can be used on any base material, supporting modern architectural constructions and high structural requirements.  The system also enables the use of glass to thicknesses of up to 56mm via an interchangeable glass support system.

We utilised the latest technology in solar control glass using 6mm Guardian sun guard HS super neutral 62 teamed with a 13.5mm Guardian Lamiglass.  This made up a double glazed unit offering anti bandit properties, outstanding thermal insulation and solar protection.

Kier Construction’s Site Manager commented “GAME Security Engineering completed an excellent job, with the works coming in on budget and completed within the agreed time frame.  They were thorough, offering expert advice along the way.  We were provided with a modern aesthetically pleasing solution whilst still maintaining the highest security and environmental properties required on the project.”
